If you've been arrested on a drug possession charge, I sympathize with what you're going through. Drug possession is a serious criminal charge that can have severe outcomes if not handled carefully. Many of our Missouri drug laws are harsh, but there is a good chance that I can help. I've successfully gotten many drug possession charges dismissed for people just like you. I work almost exclusively on criminal defense and drug cases, so I know the Missouri criminal statutes in depth, and what it takes to beat a possession charge.
Most possession penalties in MO are considered a Class C Felony, which has a maximum penalty of 7 years in jail, and a $5000 fine.
Marijuana possession of less than 35 grams is a Class A Misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in jail and a fine of $1000.
In a drug possession case, the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a) what they found was an illegal substance, and b) that it belonged to you. You have a right against unreasonable search and seizure. In many drug possession cases, I'll file a motion to suppress any evidence against you if that evidence may have been illegally obtained. There are a variety of other rights and protections that you have under the US Constitution, and Missouri laws. I'm willing to unleash a barrage of defense motions on the DA to insure that your rights are fully protected.
If you've been arrested for possession of
marijuana, heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, meth, mushrooms, or any other drug, give me a call. There are a number of possible defense
motions to defend against a drug possession charge in Missouri. My firm handles
all Missouri and Kansas Drug related charges, including possession, intent, paraphernalia,
conspiracy to violate drug laws, and more. If you are accused of
drug dealing or intent to distribute, refer to the drug law information on my drug distribution page.
